Update-1) The salary threshold for Work Permit applications under Category A (High-Salary) and B2 (Senior Skilled Workers) is strictly implemented at 6 times and 4 times Shanghai's average social wage, respectively, representing a significant increase compared to previous standards. If you belong to above 2 categories, and current salary falls below the new thresholds, the next renewal application will require reassessment under other categories, it means you may need to provide extra docuemnts such as bachelor degree with legalization and police clearance certificate with legalization, etc.
Suggestion: Affected individuals, please contact with your consultant 4 months before your work permit expiration. We will help you to reassess your category. And so you will have enough time to prepare extra docuemnts if needed.
Update-2) When applying for the renewal of the foreign work permit, it is necessary to pass the first-aduit before the expiration date. Otherwise, the system will automatically terminate the application after its expiration. The comparative details are as follows:
